Universitat Jaume I (UJI)

Universitat Jaume I (UJI) is a public higher education and research university located in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. Founded in 1991, it has been a pioneer in the use of information and communication technologies, becoming the first Spanish institution to have a public web server and the first Spanish university to create a Centre for Education and New Technologies. UJI has also played a leading role in multimedia teaching and industrial design education in Spain. It is highly active in research and innovation, ranking among the top Spanish universities in external R&D funding per professor, supporting industrial innovation through its own funding plan, and promoting scientific and technological services for local companies through the “Xarxa de Serveis” network.
