The Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IPS) conducts comprehensive theoretical and empirical, fundamental and applied, philosophical, sociological, and scientific research on knowledge, values, people, and society in accordance with academic, national, and European standards and global scientific trends. The IPS mission as part of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is to generate adequate knowledge about social processes by applying academic approaches and scientifically grounded research techniques, thereby creating reliable empirical arguments for optimizing policymaking processes in the major socio-economic areas.
