Università degli Studi di Firenze (UNIFI) is a public higher education and research university located in Florence, Italy. It is one of Italy’s largest organisations for research and higher education, with roots dating back to 1321 and its formal establishment as a university in 1924. UNIFI offers a broad academic portfolio and supports research, innovation and knowledge transfer through its departments, research centres, laboratories, and collaboration services. Its activities include national and international research funding, collaborative research, technology transfer, and business incubation.
